All stages of production are carried out in the Szeged Region, from sowing to packaging. What are the main characteristics of this Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.) Szeged Hungarian sweet paprika that make it really special?

Thanks to the traditional millstone grounding used, the paprika is typically homogeneous in texture and is very fine. Depending on the pigment level, the paprika is bright fiery red or lighter red in color. The smell is intense, spicy and aromatic, similar to that of roasted vegetables as a result of the processes that take place in the paprika during drying. The flavor is typically sweet, reminiscent of ripe and roasted pumpkins and fresh garden plants, with a lingering, mild, pleasant spicy aroma.

Best Paprika...Ever!!

At first I was hesitant at the cost of getting this to me in Canada...but...so worth it! We eat a lot of Hungarian type food and so use a ton of paprika. This one is incredibly flavourful, rich and brilliantly coloured. I use about 60% of what the recipe calls for as this one is so full of flavour. Order this! You will NOT be sorry.

This came from overseas so it encountered some border controls which delayed it a bit but in the end, it was just as promised. I will go back here.
